Rexall Direct is Rexall’s national home delivery pharmacy, offering quality services for the medication maintenance needs of people across Canada. With a profile, customers can easily add new, transfer, and refill prescriptions online.

THE CHALLENGE
Rexall has been a long-standing client of Northern’s in both the marketing and development branches. This was the third website build our team partnered with Rexall, following the ValueScripts and BeWell projects. This time around, Rexall required new mobile responsive and AODA-compliant themes to replace the ones currently used on Rexall Direct and PostScripts.
THE GOAL
Beyond just a UI update, Rexall had aspirations to create an interface rooted in contextual design to ensure the program's information was easy to understand and navigate by users. Medicine can be daunting, and Rexall knows this. Their main goal with all products under their umbrella is the same: to make medicine easy and comfortable to access and manage.
THE PROCESS
Rexall’s in-house User Experience team had developed preliminary wireframes to illustrate their vision for the new interfaces of Rexall Direct and PostScripts. Through collaborative discovery sessions, we developed a user-centric design plan for an intuitive and modern UI. Inspired by these ideals, we created a set of style tiles to explore and ultimately guide the final visual direction.
THE CONCLUSION
Through a synergetic partnership with the omnichannel team at Rexall, we successfully designed and developed the two themes for Rexall Direct and PostScripts. Inspired by the vibrant contrasting colours from established branding and medical visual aids, the final user interface feels as approachable and informative as the Rexall brand.
