THE CHALLENGE
Stormtech was a long-standing marketing client of our larger team, so it was a natural fit for us to take on the UI/UX improvements portion of this project. Due to previous engagements with Stormetch, we would be working with an offshore development partner on this project. The main objective was to enhance the customer experience through increased order management and self-serve tool automation.
THE GOAL
Stormtech aimed to automate 60% of order management touchpoints, including decoration requests, where customers place logos on products for artwork approvals and instructions to our in-house decoration team. Their three B2B sites would then be consolidated into one multi-currency site to handle B2B offerings from global markets.
THE PROCESS
Together with our resident Conversion Rate Optimization Specialist, our team used competitor and comparator examples and prior industry research and knowledge to make recommendations for page layouts. We worked with the client to create wireframes that satisfied the client’s business objectives while prioritizing value-centric design for the three user groups present with this product.
THE CONCLUSION
Ultimately, we worked collaboratively with the client and outsourced development team to produce a seamless UX process for businesses visiting and shopping on the B2B site. We created an intuitive experience that prioritized improved navigation, quick and easy-to-find product search and login, expanded media and resource gallery, and customizable product embellishment tool with live inventory on the customer-facing interface.
